Gregg Popovich, Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs bring their act to San Francisco Friday night in a game has the makings of a small ball vs. tall ball Battle Royale. Popovich recently named his regular season opening night starters; Keldon Johnson at 6’5″, Devin Vassell – 6’6″, the 6’8″ Jeremy Sochan, Zach Collins at 6’11” with Wembanyama rounding out the field at 7’4″.
“They better play well or we are in trouble,” said Popovich. “Those are the big guys. They are tall, they are big, they are going to start.”
The Spurs starting five are also young.
